I found a standard 1000 round empty OD green ammunition can, hinged at one end, yellow paint, a small bit on top, with carrying handle, side of can marked WCC Lot number 6665, Cal .45 M1911 Ball..boxed Post WW2 by how many years? Was this WCC a military contract under WRA? Thanks, Andy

The first non corrosive WCC ammo lot is 6375, and that date is 11-1952. Your ammo can is later than 1952.
