JBCannon Posted February 5, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2008 Until a few years ago, I was pretty seriously into my modeling. I really got to like the 120mm size, but found few manufacturers of American subjects. I solved this problem by converting the numerous German kits available from DRAGON into subjects I wanted to see. Warrior heads and helmets worked nicely with these kits, along with a lot of scratch building. I recently got a digital camera and am trying to figure out how the damn thing works. I think that if I can get decent pictures of my figures, I may be able to photograph my militaria. So far the jury is still out (it may have left the building). What do you think? JBCannon Posted February 5, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted February 5, 2008 Enough of WWII for awhile. These are Americans of a slightly earlier time than what we usually discus. On a side note, I have uploaded these images, but I'm still not sure how I did it.

JBCannon Posted February 6, 2008 Author Share #8 Posted February 6, 2008 Thanks guys. Meatcan, I used acetate from a document cover. I then painted it with a wash of Testors metallic green. Jim

Brian Dentino Posted August 13, 2008 Share #14 Posted August 13, 2008 Jim: These are awesome. Post more.....make more.....PLEASE!! You have a great talent. And not to focus too much on one aspect, but the liner on the Ranger Snipers helmet adds that detailed touch that makes a great figure. Very impressive. Custermen Posted August 14, 2008 Share #16 Posted August 14, 2008 These are Americans of a slightly earlier time than what we usually discus. I like seeing those gents with their smoke-poles. I used to paint figures of this era. Good job on the post. Thanks for showing them. Steve
Mark M Posted August 14, 2008 Share #17 Posted August 14, 2008 Jim I play around with painting 28mm figures and I am curious what types of paint you are using on these? 28's are tough enough to get the detail looking right let alone doing 120mm! These are excellant! Mark
