Brig Posted December 6, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 6, 2006 This is the Model 1955 Enlisted Service Cover EGA, this one, however, was made in England. It is also a screwback.

GLM Posted April 26, 2007 Share #6 Posted April 26, 2007 I thought I would try and show the differences between the "chocolate brown" M1955 cover emblem used up until 1962 next to a standard "blackened" M1955 emblem. Many times, the brown emblems for both covers and collars can be found with a black finish, such as Em-Nu or black paint on the front, but the reverses usually show the true color. If one is very careful, the black finish can be removed, restoring the emblem with brown finish to original configuration. The brown emblem on left is hallmarked V in a circle for Vanguard. The black emblem on right is hallmarked JR Gaunt - London - Made In England.
