Here's one for the Navy guys.

This is a large group to a Hellcat pilot with VF-83 (Kangaroos) Ltjg Beeman Fallwell served with VF-83 from late Feb '45 - the end of the war. He flew missions over Kyushu and Okinawa and was awarded the DFC in June of '45 for inflicting damage on Enemy airfields around those areas. He shot down a Nick (Ki-45) on April 5th of 1945.

U done good! I remember the jacket well!

This is one of the nicest Naval Aviator groups I have seen in a while.

I would try and remove the documents from that old " magnetic" album if you can. The glue used to make the items stick to the pages is very very acidic and will put little lines accross all the documents over time. You have to be careful when removing the docs if they are stuck. I used a hot air dryer to loosen up the glue!

Thanks guys!

Thanks Kurt for looking out for me. I had photographed this lot when I first got it all back together about a year back. All the paperwork and photos after the photo session were put into Acid Free sleeves in 3 ring binders. I kept the empty album with the group just for the heck of it! The citations had started to discolor some, but were luckily salvaged before any serious damage was done!
