I met Mr Shork at a yard sale.

Next day I was at his house and this is what I got from him.

His hat is not a crusher but he sure gave it that look.

His Air Crew wings are gold and look to be made in CBI.

The loose pair of wings is German made and marked 800.

He served in the Pacific as well as the European theater.

Great group! I really enjoy seeing your posts about your pickups, especially the history on how you obtained them.

Gold crew wings for some reason that I don't know of.

They never had any silver wash on them.

Are they CBI or something else ??

His discharge says he served in the Aleutians does this count for the Pacific ribbon ?

His Radio Operators Information File

Mr Schork told me that the famous picture of the ME109 stuck in the fuselage of a B-17 happened next to him.

They were able to obtain parts of the enemy plane and made jewelry out of it.

He had a ring but opted to keep it.
