My favorite:

http://www.youtube.c...E3009C8F264ADBF

Every time this came on for the ABC Sunday night movie during the '80's, I'd drop what I was doing and watch again and again.

Now when I hear that song, I am flooded with memories and thoughts about my grandfather and all the other WWII vets that I grew up with that are gone now but by no means forgotten...

Not exactly a theme song, but I just had to add this clip from 55 Days at Peking, in this clip we see the fabulous Ball scene with the Military Officers and their Ladies doing the Military Two step, this shows the height of Western Military splendor and fashion, plus there's the great scene with the boxers doing there martial display.

PS can anybody find the theme from the actual movie, I think I missed it or just coudn't find it straight off.

I love that score (and movie, and book). Remember also that it had a roadshow release with a 5-minute overture, I can't find it on YouTube but it's great.

I don't use this word vert often but that is haunting.

This is a unbelievably great sung version of the Band of Brothers theme, song by the Welsh female singer Katherine Jenkins.

The Great Escape

Interestingly, the Mexican Army's Airborne March uses the exact the same tune.

....on the other hand?

The Battle of Britain theme is definitely (one of) the best! I had it as a ring tone once.

But what about this one "Das Boot"

And of course "Soldaat van Oranje" or as you know it "Soldier of Orange" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtYQZtwstPc
