I never had a chance to meet Mr Simmons.

All my dealings were with Mrs Simmons.

All the German stuff is gone.

Mr Simmons received the SS for helping his men in a very bad situation.

Rare Distinctive Insignia.

118 photos.

Unit histories

Discharge papers.

Painted helmet.

Unit guidon flown on battle field.

Recon M-8.

What a mess. Great shot for someone who wants to super detail a model.

manayunkman,

Very interesting group I would go as far to say outstanding. Is it possible to see close up of the Silver Star Citation, some more photos and the helmet? Thanks for sharing.

Regards,

John

And the groups just keep on coming! That's one amazing collection you've got.

I want to be there when the manaymuseum opens up.

manayunkman,

Thanks for posting the the citation, a battlefield commission, probably received the from the company as a tribute to his courage if he was not their commander. Great helmet as well does the liner have any marking on it as well? Thanks again for the close up posts...really great group.

Regards,

John

The other side.

When I got this group home I started to give it a closer look.

I saw all the photos showing boots on the sides of liners.

I looked at my liner and saw a shape under the paint.

By the way there is also an insignia under the current 104th stencil.

Here is the result of the one side.
