carrabassett Posted June 24, 2012 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2012 Picked this up this morning and I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what it went to? Obviously it is an elbow sight that mounts to something and has 4 settings: red, clear, amber and neutral. Dated 1942. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim
Patriot Posted June 24, 2012 Share #2 Posted June 24, 2012 This is a telescope for artillery (direct fire).
robinb Posted June 24, 2012 Share #3 Posted June 24, 2012 It's used with 90mm and 120mm Anti-Aircraft Directors, M7, M9 and M10 for tracking in elevation and in azimuth. It has nothing to do with direct fire artillery.
