kanemono Posted June 2, 2012 Share #1 Posted June 2, 2012 Here is a Civil War U.S. Marine Corps Eagle Drum that belongs to a friend of mine. The 34 stars on the field around the eagle would date the drum between 1861 and 1863. The inside label is the earliest address of Bent & Bush / Cor. of Court & Washington St / Boston so it could well have a connection to the Boston Navy Yard. The drum measures 16.5 inches in diameter and 15 inches tall. This is the only Civil War Marine Corps drum I have ever seen. Dick Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
