USMC ID Bracelet

Picked this up at a local antique shop. Tried some research, but am not a member of any of the web sites that do this. Also the time period, the name might sortta date it? any help would be appreciated.. Denny

I am going to speculate that he got this as early as WWII. The reason is that he was the son of Mrs. and Mrs. Grover C. Mounger of Bellaire Texas who had a son Philip C who was wounded while serving in the Marines in WWII. It's seems likely that if his younger brother was a WWII Marine, Grover Jr would have been one too. Grover Cleveland Mounger Jr. was born 4 Feb 1918 and died 1 Oct 1972. Phillip was about seven years younger.

Thanks so much for the research, it all makes sense, I found the piece in Ft. Worth. Don't quite know where Belair Tx is , but I think you hit it on the head. Thanks again Denny
