About a week ago, I was browsing around on eBay -- looking for the usual Philippine stuff -- when I saw this listing titled, "Vintage Army Ike Jacket."

I saw the front... ok, cool...

I quickly clicked "Buy It Now!"

These photos that I'm posting are the pics I took when this bad boy arrived.

Upon closer inspection, I could see that there were layers to this marvelous patch. Silk on dark navy blue felt... and then accented with bullion. I think this patch was most likely made in Japan.

Has anyone seen anything like this other than the Philippine-embroidered ones?

Here's a close up.

Does anyone have a roster for the 4025th? I didn't find any markings, but was wondering if we could narrow down the pool of candidates. Thanks for looking!

Could you tell us a bit more about the unit and what makes it so special?

Thanks

Thanks all!

This thread is a good read on the unit: A WW2 4025th Signal Service Group patch, Philippine made, scarce unit

Plus, if I'm not mistaken, the 4025th is one of ASMIC's Top 100 Most Wanted Patches.

Great "buy-it-now" score! I love it when that happens, and it looks like it went to the perfect home!
