K, 105th Infantry, 27th Division Origin: New York Date of Death: 1975-5-12 Homer F. Tracey was born November 8, 1893, and died May 12, 1975. He was married on October 1, 1921 to Carrie Braunelsen. At the time that he filled out his WW1 Draft Registration card he was a "Nitro Primer Loader" working for Remington Arms in Bridgeport, Connecticut. His residnce at the time of his death was Saratoga, New York. Homer Tracey enlisted in the National Guard on April 28, 1914. He would have been part of the 2nd New York Infantry that saw service on the Mexican Border from June 18, 1916 until October 19, 1916. He served in France during WW1 and was discharged April 1, 1919. The unit history for the 105th Infantry lists and pictures all members including Tracey. PFC Tracey's group includes his officially engraved American Emblem Co. Purple Heart edge numbered 40412, Mexican Border Service medal edge numbered 10998, New York WW1 Service medal numbered 46290, and his WW1 Victory medal with 3 campaign bars.
