FW12 Posted January 11, 2008 Share #1 Posted January 11, 2008 Hello! I picked this photo up today of the A Company, 31st Infantry Training Battalion, Captain S.B. Goodman, Commanding, June 1944, Camp Croft, S.C. I have seen many of these photos in my time collecting, but have never owned a framed one until now. Unfortunately, this does not fit in with my collecting interests so I do believe I will take it with me to the SOS to sell. However, I am ignorant as to prices regarding these types of photos. Any help in that area would be more than appreciated! Best, Beau
duarte1223 Posted January 11, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2008 For a standard picture like this, not of an airborne unit or ranger unit or anything like that, I typically buy them for $15-20, but at the SoS I'm sure you could do much better. Sorry I can't help more, but at least that gives you a base price. Adam
Manchu Warrior Posted January 11, 2008 Share #3 Posted January 11, 2008 It is hard to see the photo but I have noticed that unit photos seem to sell for more if the soldiers are holding weapons etc. Well, at least the WWI photos seem to.

Thanks for the information fellas. Nope, no weapons in the photos (not that I could see), though the company pennant is present. There are some interesting troopers in the photo: an Asian and an African American. Hopefully the folks at the SoS will like it. Thanks again, I appreciate the input! Unless its a "special" or unique unit, or something really iteresting is in the photo, I rarely pay more than $25. Believe it or not, I am generally able to get them for about $15 or less around here.
