I guy contacted me to day with what he claims is the last tail hook taken from the last aircraft (f-18) to land on the Kitty Hawk.

He thinks it's worth 2k what do you think?

It comes with an MAF (maintenance action form) that spells out the details.

It might be worth that to a KH crew member. I don't know what a tail hook goes for...but I have my doubts as to whether someone would pay that much for that particular one.

just my opinion, but no way it's worth that much.

Whether there is a story or not behind the hook, I agree the with 67. I would have to be the last guy flying that plane onto the KH to make it worth 2K to me.
