Bell Para wings

I got this pair of Bell marked para wings at the SOS and I know there is a post-war version that had more markings on the back I believe.

 

I am not a wing expert but took a chance at $90. Did I do ok or get taken?

Alan,

Being able to properly date these wings is kind of difficult and subjective. As the wing is pinback and doesn't have the ubiquitous "G.I." markings or a letter number code, I believe that this wing can be represented as a WWII manufactured wing. Normally, when I see the circles to direct the jeweler to apply the findings at certain locations, I conssider the wing to be a later addition as opposed to some of the first issues.

 

It's a nice wing and based on the prices I was seeing at SOS, I think $90 was reasonable.
