spectre Posted March 9, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2012 I got this pair of Bell marked para wings at the SOS and I know there is a post-war version that had more markings on the back I believe. I am not a wing expert but took a chance at $90. Did I do ok or get taken? Thanks, Alan
Allan H. Posted March 10, 2012 Share #2 Posted March 10, 2012 Alan, Being able to properly date these wings is kind of difficult and subjective. As the wing is pinback and doesn't have the ubiquitous "G.I." markings or a letter number code, I believe that this wing can be represented as a WWII manufactured wing. Normally, when I see the circles to direct the jeweler to apply the findings at certain locations, I conssider the wing to be a later addition as opposed to some of the first issues. It's a nice wing and based on the prices I was seeing at SOS, I think $90 was reasonable. Allan
