Lately these have been bringing $250-ish on ebay.They use to be around $150 at our local shows for several years a surplus of them surfaced.Hayes Otoupalik had them at $399 for a while years ago in his catalog as he had found the mother load of them in the late 1980s or early 1990s.Size is also a factor.A buddy of mine paid $250 for one at the Kansas City Gunshow in May as it was a 7 3/4.
I think if you use patience you will find one as they are up on ebay very regularly

It can be a round stamp (like Chicago Saddlery Co) or embossed(?) like Rawlings.

The microphone has been replaced with a throat microphone type.
It's on my 1st display.

As for the tanker goodies; I haven't got that much (first pattern coveralls, shirts, Ike jackets, insignia, ...).
Currently working on a second display depicting a GI in the 704th TD Bn as in December 1944.
You can see some of the items here on USMF.
At the forum where I am moderator, there is more to see, yes.
I sort of "commute" between the two.

J Canno..welcome to the forum......dad would have almost certainly have worn the standard M1 steel helmet during his service
