Hi All,

I thought I would share with you this recently acquired uniform grouping belonging to Lt. Joseph Lynn Aylsworth Jr. The summer jacket of course being my favorite part of the grouping. Gotta love that bullion insignia and those 1/2" ribbons!

Lt. Aylsworth was in the Air Corps, however was assigned to the 15th AAF. He was attached to the 459th BG, 759th SQ. The 459th was stationed in Italy and flew missions throughout the ETO. According to the 459th website, Lt. Aylsworth earned the Air Medal on 24 August 1944.

I've sent away to NPRC for his records and am hoping they can provide more info on his service history (Fingers crossed that they weren't destroyed in the fire).

In any case, I hope you enjoy!
