PC support specialist for a hospital. We do software and hardware trouble shooting for hospital employees. Last year I answered over 9,000 calls for help!! Been in this line of work since 1983.
I support my "habit" by selling antiques/junk in a small booth at the local antique mall.

I also try to balance my collection so that my profits from sales benefit my purchases.

Right now I am studying Industrial Design and come January 9th I'll be working as an intern at Hasbro as a model maker. The pay is great and I get to work on transformers, GI Joe and Star Wars figures, who knows what else. Maybe they'll throw My Little Pony at me, but at least I'll be able to work with my hands. Then I'll be able to put a little bit more currency toward the collection!

20 years USMC/ANG, retired reserve (so not really 'retired' as I'm waiting on the check...until age 60). 20 years as a LEO, did it all, from Patrol, to Gang crimes, Intelligence, Bike patrol, SWAT, Hostage Negotiation. Sort of still in Law enforcement for the fed, as a 'Desk Sergeant', which is the guy who checks everyone elses reports and answers phones, runs the station on the midwatch. Another 12 years to go before 60 and I pull the plug for GOOD. 40 percent disabled thanks to various and sundry hard living items from the Marine Corps LOL. For part time jobs to pay for the militaria, I've worked as a 911 dispatcher, security guard, private investigator (own my own agency, which is in the tank thanks to our current 'prezident'), editorial writer, auction ringman, auctioneer, flea market dealer....

I do appraisals and evalutions 'for fun' now, try and turn what I buy so I can buy more 'stuff'.

My favorite part time job, which I still have, and what pays the militaria ' bug ', is as the Logistics/Property Chief for the United States Marine Corps Historical Company. If it paid ALL the bills, I'd tell the fed to shove it. LOL. Alas, not yet. :)

Sorry for the resume.

It's just occurred to me that by cross-referencing this thread with some others like "Post a pic of yourself..", "What do you collect?", "What's your eBay handle?" and "What's the significance of your forum handle?" etc..., it's possible to build up pretty detailed profiles of those of us who have disclosed such information...know what I mean? ;)

That's my plan Ian. Mwahaha  my next planned topic is what's your home address and credit card number!

All kidding aside, in this day and age, it's still important to maintain security measures that help to thwart would be identity thieves from finding out too much about you....that or enraged exlovers and their spouses in some of y'alls cases! ;)

Army has me for a few more years. Not staying a day past 20... unless they let our prez axe our benefits. In that case I'll be in this uniform until I have great grandkids :( However, I try to fund my addiction through sales as much as possible.

I served 21 years in the Army, retired as an Operations Sergeant Major, served 11 years as a Firefighter/Paramedic, medically retired after an injury in the line of duty, and currently a senior instructor at the United States Army Sergeant's Major Academy.

My fun money comes from my retirement pensions and my VA disability...

Cameraman and video editor for a small unit production company in London. Unfortunately, it doesn't pay enough to get me that holy 29th div lid.
