SLEV2252 Posted December 8, 2011 Share #1 Posted December 8, 2011 Hi Guys,i recently acquired the pictured wings and am hopeing to get some idea of when they were made and for what qualification. They are approx 2.25 inches wide by 1.5 high. The back is marked JOVAS LISCUTIN GUATEMALA 900.The front has a small applied letter G that i think is made of gold.I am guessing at sweet heart wings and i have found that Jovas Liscutin was or is a jewelry maker in Guatemala. They appear to be cast and i think the 900 is for coin silver.I 'm rather puzzled as to why they have a parachute ,a star and letter G all on one wing.Any help with what they are for would be great. Thanks,Steve.
Tonomachi Posted December 8, 2011 Share #2 Posted December 8, 2011 This is a Guatemala military paratrooper wing, master level and the "G" stands for pathfinder. I'm guessing they are still being worn and they have been manufactured from at least 1979 onward. There is a similar one with the letter "E" which stands for "rigger".
