notinfringed Posted December 3, 2007 Share #1 Posted December 3, 2007 Some years back, I purchased a folder full of photos and documents at an estate sale. I really admired some of the gentleman's photographs. Here is an example: Anyway, there was a picture of him standing next to a p-38, but it didn't look quite right. Upon closer examination, I determined that it was just a small model. The Gentleman had superimposed a picture of him onto the picture of the model. He even got the shadows realitively correct. I hope you can see the details after I shrunk them. Here is a picture of just the model Here is a picture of the model on top of an airiel photo He must have had a lot of free time. Steindaddie Posted December 3, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 3, 2007 Interesting works of superimposition - did the photographer add himself to photos of 1940's Hollywood babes too?
notinfringed Posted December 3, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted December 3, 2007 Not that I found . I did get four photos of aircraft. One is taken out the window of a plane. It shows several other planes flying in formation. I think they are dc-10's but I'm really not an expert. Levi
notinfringed Posted December 4, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted December 4, 2007 Here are some more pictures from the same group. Some are pictures of his surroundings and friends that he took, and some are pictures of him that they took. Levi
notinfringed Posted December 18, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted December 18, 2007 The vet's name is Stanford (stan) Paulson. I don't know what unit he was with, but there is one photo showing him getting a medal and he is wearing a 5th AF patch. Levi
