chcole1 Posted October 15, 2011 Share #3 Posted October 15, 2011 From what I have read the unit for Bay of Pigs, the 2506th Special Brigade (Brigada Asalto 2506) wore civilian-made Hunter's camouflage with this pocket patch. It's hard to tell but the patch in the photo doesn't look like this one. Chris
Car15 Posted November 8, 2018 Share #4 Posted November 8, 2018 bay_of_p...risoners.jpg Does anyone recognize the patch worn on the chest of the Cuban Liberation Army soldier? Thanks Matt That soldier is a member of the Paratrooper Battalion of the Brigade 2506. I have in my collection an original Brigade 2506 patch and an original Paratrooper Battalion patch that came out of Cuba.

beef Posted November 8, 2018 Share #6 Posted November 8, 2018 That soldier is a member of the Paratrooper Battalion of the Brigade 2506. I have in my collection an original Brigade 2506 patch and an original Paratrooper Battalion patch that came out of Cuba. Thanks to both for posting! I was unaware that there was a patch for the paratrooper Bn. That certainly looks like what that soldier in the photo is wearing. I was under the impression that Brigada 2506 patch was designed/ made after the operation. True or false? Im very familiar with the history of the operation, however not the insignia. Wake1941 Posted November 8, 2018 Share #9 Posted November 8, 2018 Id say this is the rarest patch in military patches, Ive only seen scans of it. And in a book
