What are some maker marks to loook for and sizes?

what are approximate value?

they are about 1 1/2"-2" from tip to tip

this grouping is from WWII,and am trying to get an idea of what to offer

All of the WWII USN Combat Aircrew wings I own ( all in groupings ) are pinback and sterling. They come from a variety of makers. The most common one by far is Amico . I also own some made by NS Meyer and Gemsco . I have never seen a Balfour pair.

I bought an Aircrew wing made by H&H ( fairly scarce ) with the guys leather flight jacket nametag on Ebay today for $40 .

I would expect to pay @ $30 for an average pair.

AMICO, Vanguard, H&H, NS Meyers, Gemsco, are all more common makers of these wings. Like Kurt said, about 30-40$ for a nice sterling pin back wing would be fair, IMO.
