urbanminer Posted August 2, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 2, 2011 I recently picked up what appears to be a Nebraska National Guard cap from (maybe) the WWI era. However I'm a novice when it comes to anything before WWII, so I'm hoping you guys can answer a few questions. The buttons have the state seal of Nebraska ("Equality Before the Law / Nebraska"). The top of the visor is black and the underside is green. There's bright green piping around the cap. 1. Is it WWI or a different period? 2. In what ways does it differ from the Federal cap of the same period? 3. Does the woven band indicate an officer's cap? 4. What is the proper badge(s) to go with this cap? Thanks! urbanminer
