teufelhunde.ret Posted November 4, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2007 Offered for discussion... this unique store card emblem, which was recently offered at auction and failed to make reserve. It certainly does has all the indications of being of pre WW1 design, however with it being a screw back, I think it is of post WW1 production. The patina and card do lead themselves to having started life together... yet by the patina on the reverse this emblem (note the lack of patina on the bottom half on the screw post) could have been on a uniform for some time as well? The seller offered this as an emblem from Pasquale, other than the store card printing, there is nothing notably about the pattern which leads me to believe it could not be from another manufacturer of the period. Thoughts.......?
