mmerc20 Posted July 26, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2011 I thought I would show off a new find today. Behold the uniform of Captain Albert Prosser. He was the commander of the USS Aegir (AS-23) a submarine tender. I not only have his greys, but his dress uniform (with tails) dated 1922 when he was an ensign. It has a WWI Victory medal on the lapel. There are also two beautiful pea coats one with bullion shoulder boards, one with no boards. Mike

Very nice, thanks for the pic. The conning tower hook was there at one time, but was removed as many were. Again, great pickups!

Oh yeah, got it when he was an Ensign, most likely at the Naval Academy and continously up dated it as he rose in rank. The gray coat is the rank of Captain also. Great uniforms, love the Grays.
