The patch with the liberty bell on it is US Army Recruiting.

The US Army Recruiting Command patch is the first version of the patch that used a separate Recruiting tab. I don't remember the exact dates used, but it was a fairly short time.

The old recruiting command was in use from 11/67 - 12/72. The seperate "Recruiting" tab with the same dates as well of course.

I use Barry Stein's "U.S. Army Patches: An Illustrated Encyclopedia of Cloth Unit Insignia". It's a good source for US army patches.

A good websource is at http://www.angelfire.com/md2/patches/index.html which has many US patches from WWII.

When I was first assigned to Recruiting Command in 1976, I was issued the one piece full color shoulder sleeve insignia with integral "RECRUITING" tab. But, the subdued insignia for my fatgues and field jacket were the two piece type with seperate "RECRUITING" tabs.
