Peleliu Campaign

Was going through a China Marine scrap book today and found this stuffed in the back... Gen Rupertus's published speech before the final phase of the Peleliu campaign. I know we have seen these type of speeches from time to time for other WWII battles. The owner of this one was a lifer who came in '34 and stayed until '64...several battles in the Pacific followed by Korea. He has a tanker during WWII.

Sir;

MGEN Rupertus' oldest granddaughter is standing over my shoulder asking how we can get ahold of this document? I know it is not in your posession. Can you make introductions?

I appreciate your time.

The original is in my possession but it is mimeograph copy that was reproduced for each member of the Division. I can copy it and send you a copy

Nice photo of the chaplains. There appears to be four chaplains. The third man from the right also has a stole, but a stole that I can not tell what kind it is.
