OK, so why isn't 8308 in this list. It is in the For Sale section (has a Wake Island bar)?

I think that the intent was to list attributable medals - I mentioned that we should incorporate "orphans" into the project that could match up with someone's collection

OK, so what does the 3 or 4 "Unidentified" in the list mean? Seems like we ought to list everything we can.

You have added it to the list, just by posting it.

When one of us updates the list, it will show up.

Well I started this list with my personal list and missed those when it was posted. My idea for this thread was to list Identified medals but I think it would be ok to add, as USMCR79 says, "Orphans" to the list with the owners user name or the medals location in parentheses next to it as I did with other notes.

Please also notice that I started the list so ANYONE that had something to ADD could simply cut and paste the list from the forum to your PC then add the new information and cut and paste it BACK TOO the thread with and UPDATE note in the top as to what you changed. This way it is not up to me or one of the other members to add EVERYONE ELSE'S updates. This thread is for ALL OF US to use and benefit from. (Note: I am not YELLING)

....... (Note: I am not YELLING)

I use CAPITAL letters for emphasis also. In the business world this caused people uneasiness. Never could understand that, capital letters have been used for emphasis much longer then Email has been around.

I still like my "hard-drive" the best.......pencil and paper!

Brig,

Thank you for joining in on my thread / our project. It would be very helpful if you would list the additions at the top of your post so everyone knows which number to add to there list at home. This saves from having to do a side by side comparison to try and figure out what has changed. As a fellow old timer said to me "I still use my old PC, its a paper and pencil".

Thanks,

Mark

Indeed, whenever anyone adds one here, I'll add it to the pinned/locked thread

I forsee this project extending to many different USMC medals, and figured a consolidated 'database' was the easiest option to use without confusion, linked to the actual discussion threads

Luft......

You started a great thread and a solid reference page. In a short time it has grown and proved to be very popular. Adding more medal types can only enhance the information that is available to the collecting community.

THANK YOU for initiating theses threads!! :)
