ronl Posted October 13, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2007 A few years ago I picked up the cash ledger of the 106th Inf. Div. It's a very interesting piece as it shows where all the money went in the division from '42 through the end of '45. Lot's of names and info. A few months ago my father, who works at the local recycling center, calls and asks if I want a WW2 footlocker someone has dumped off. I look at the locker and it is beyond reclamation, but as I dig into the contents I find a sterling silver ID bracelet. It belongs to a Lt. Col. R.K. Lewis. It turns out that Rover K. Lewis was the finance officer who kept the cash ledger of the 106th Inf. Div. I think that's really interesting how the two items came together again after so many years. ronl Posted November 8, 2007 Author Share #2 Posted November 8, 2007 As requested by one of the forum members here, I have a pic of the cash ledger and the ID bracelet. It is open to the month of July,1943 and the ID is just below the signature.
