Well the EGA discussion area has simply been to boring of recent. So here's a brain twister... 1920's or 1930's?? My guess a precursor to enlisted gooneys, perhaps the 1926 -1930 period while QM's were trying to get the enlisted version of the gooneys approved and into the fleet. Certainly rare & unique, and likely many more theories about their existence as well. Perhaps produced for approval and dropped to make the enlisted gooneys. Proves one point there were some enlisted collars with H&H hallmarks that were 1930 or earlier. Your thoughts? ;)

As I mentioned earlier those have thrown me for a bit of a loop. They seem crude by H&H's standards and not as graceful most of their designs. I'm interested in what Gary and Bob will have to say about them.

the first thing that caught my eye about the rears was the crudeness, as well. In the blurry photo, my first thought was 'potmetal?!?'. The tips of the anchor appear to be smoother though, as characterised by the 1920s emblems. The wings on the collar emblems are what get me wondering. I think they may have fallen between the M20 and M30 versions sometime...
