Notice the tag is different than a vietnam 2ed pattern... so many times on eBay I've seen the date cut or blacked out or scratch out. Trying to pass them off as vietnam era. Trying to pass them off as vietnam era. my 3rd pattern M55 vest has a older looking tag and no contract numbers, no date I wonder how late the third pattern vest was made? When we went to the grenade range we wore the new Kevlar. So even in 1988 they were still in the supply system but I would think only used for training.
