CNY Militaria Posted September 18, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 18, 2007 In a thread a while back, someone mentioned that SEMS inc. was based out of China and making new repro jackets.

Andrei Posted September 18, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 18, 2007 I have never seen such a tag as SEMS INC, Carterville GA etc... in a genuine M42 Jump Tunic. My 2 cents. Andrei
Gutkowski Posted September 18, 2007 Share #5 Posted September 18, 2007 The Eagle looks a bit too white for 60+ years old to be on a jacket
Allan H. Posted September 19, 2007 Share #6 Posted September 19, 2007 Wow! What a piece of garbage! We can safely say that the seller is a liar or at best mistaken as these jackets didn't exist 20 years ago. 20 years ago, you could buy a repro jacket from Chattahoochie, Aiverex or custom order one from Phyllis Rose. The patch is right from Juan Gonzalez's WW2 Impressions website. Allan
QED4 Posted September 19, 2007 Share #7 Posted September 19, 2007 Cartersville GA is a small town north of Atlanta which just happens to be the location of the American branch of Sturm, their full name is Sturm European Military Surplus (SEMS). This jacket is one of their repros, they don't mark them reproduction but they do put their name in them.
