D: Morning here is one for you to play with...By the time this picture was taken I think he was the leader of the Marine Band (1901-03?)....looks like some type of fraternal medal....don't know if you can extract any details of the EGA he is wearing...enjoy

Wonderful pic, Dirk. The hat emblem is a beaut! Mlost interesting to see an 1892 type design as an Officer's device.

look like Patrol jacket 1875 emblems to me...similar to the one in my avatar

Would give the proverbial "eye teeth" to know if this shown one was screwback/pinback or wire loops...?
