VMI88 Posted September 15, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2007 Here are a couple of utility pocket knives I picked up recently. I haven't been able to find much on them except to confirm that they are World War II era. Any idea as to value? The USA-marked knife is in nice shape except for normal wear and age. The USMC-marked knife unfortunately has a chip in the bone handle, and it seems to be missing the knob on the can opener blade.

Greg Robinson Posted September 15, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 15, 2007 Definitely WW2 but probably not worth a whole lot. Pocket knife collectors tend to be anal re condition. But I personally view both those pieces are very collectible. Nice pick up.
dustin Posted September 15, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 15, 2007 The USMC knife is desirable forsure and of course as greg has stated the chipped bone detracts from value.Good clean engineer knives can be had for around $40-55 you might pay more on e-pay.If anyone is wanting one look for local knife shows there you will find more reasonable prices. as a side note look for engineer knives with shield like pictured above with USA but find ones that are voidof the USA these are US navy procured engineer knives
